Gabe and His Family,

I just received an email through Team BBC in Baltimore, MD. I don’t know Gabe and his family but their determination and spirit through difficult times is inspirational. The families dedication, hard work, optimisim and strength are an inspiration to us and I am sure to Gabe.

My prayers go out to Gabe and his family. I wish you all continued success in your work with Gabe and to Gabes recovery.

The mind is a powerful tool. Doctors, nurses, “experts” don’t know what is possible. A positive outlook, which absolutely comes across in the accounts I’ve just read are what is needed. The sky is the limit with love, family, faith and optimism.

Gabe, Summer, Donna and Mike

I just got word of the tragic accident and the great progress that Gabe is making. Eventhough, it has been many years since I have seen Gabe, I can remember when he was learning to ride a bike and how strong he was at that time. I have all the faith in the world and in the medical staff that they will do everything in their powers to help along his healing progress. I know that you are all strong and that will also help Gabe to heal. Keep up the good progress and remember that everyone here in Maine is pulling for all of you. I will continue to follow the progress and I hope that you are all back in Maine safely soon. I will keep following his progress! Take care to all of you and I wish you all the best of health.

With a gigantic sigh of relief for all of us who love and care for the Allen family, patricularly Gabe, I write this note in hopes that it will not be long before Gabe is reading some of the mail. We are not impatient, however, because the fact that he will one day read them, for now, is very comforting. God Bless and be with all of you…LOVE
